An introduction to learning about
the 17 year cicadas
Hi, and welcome to my
webpage. This webpage is part of our 6th grade course
about Baltimore. It is also part of our project in Tech class
learning about how to make web pages. The reason we are basing it
on cicadas is because this is the year of the 17 year cicadas.
That means that the cicadas somehow come out of the ground every
seventeen years. The cicadas first suck on tree roots for 17
years. Next the cicadas burrow up to 1 inch of the surface.
They feel how warm it is. If it is 64 degrees Fahrenheit or
higher, the
cicadas come out. Next they climb up the trees. If you want
to know more, please read my comic in my science page.
